Configuration Control

Any Engineering Change Order (ECO) or change affecting a job is distributed directly to the job folder with specific instructions. The customer must approve any proposed modifications to the schedule or price of the job before the job is continued.

First Article

The initial process setups and first off assemblies are verified and released for production run after detailed first article evaluations are completed. First article reports are documented and placed in the working job file. As an option, the first article report and article may be held for customer review prior to production release. The reason is that some articles have impact on scheduling. The first article board is used as a physical reference during the run and is tagged for this purpose.

Subsequent setups are also verified by repeating the initial first article.

Customer Source inspection is invited at any time.

Process Audit

All the employees are responsible for the quality of their work. The audit function provides quality status assessment, feedback for correction and process control, and control of any nonconformance.

All identifies processes are audited to assure that control status is communicated to operators, supervisors and engineers for appropriate action. Work groups review and suggest improvement from this feedback. The groups are not limited to providing feedback during this process only. Feedback and concerns are welcome at any stage by every employee.
